New Ventures

 

New Ventures is a ministry of The Alliance Canada, a Christ-centred, Spirit-empowered and Mission-focused movement. New Ventures’ mission is to see new leaders in new places reaching new people with the good news of Jesus. Working alongside our districts and churches, are goal is to cultivate environments where individuals and groups can respond and be supported in the new things that Jesus is inviting them into.

A group qualifies to become a New Venture when there is clarity and affirmation around the vision that is emerging as well as an awareness of the leadership and partnership needs required to support the vision. On average, these new outposts of the gospel operate in the New Ventures environment for 3 to 5 years, under the care and supervision of their lead partner— either a local church, district or organization—and in partnership with supporting and blessing partners who are willing to invest time, talent and resources.

A New Venture is a group of people who have joined together to start a new gospel expression which has the permission and potential of becoming a church. Other possible outcomes are: a ministry, site or congregation of an existing church or a new non-profit or social enterprise.
