Pray for Erin Village Alliance Church

Erin Village Alliance Church has been in a season of transition for the past 18 months, led by Transitional Pastor Eugene Neudorf.  Eugene has been working with the congregation and the Advisory Committee to focus on spiritual and relational renewal and clarify their vision as an outpost for the gospel in Erin.

Shawn Hannah—a member of the advisory committee—is thankful for Eugene’s leadership and guidance during this time and is encouraged by the church’s involvement in virtual environments and their dedication through uncertain times. Another member of the Advisory Committee—John Clifford—is thankful for God’s hand over the church, the lessons they have been learning and a refreshed image of what it means to be the Body of Christ by allowing each person to partner through their unique role.

Shawn identifies one of the toughest things as the lack of physical presence and an inability to know the congregation’s thoughts and opinions on the transition. The Advisory Committee also recognizes that entering the pandemic as an unhealthy church has made this season much more difficult. They are feeling the pressure to make good decisions. Despite these challenges, they are committed to discerning God’s will for the church.

As an alliance of people and churches here in the CCD, let’s lift up Erin Village Alliance in prayer!

Pray for …

current leadership (Shawn Hannah, Jonathan Clifford, Dave Reesor, Michelle Berger, Bill Bienia and Eugene Neudorf)

volunteers, that they would experience a renewed and stronger sense of community

… the pastoral search process

those moving from Erin, that they would find a great church close to home, and that EVAC would be a healthy place for those new to the community to experience the abundant life in Jesus

In addition to these requests above, take a moment to ask the Holy Spirit, “How can I pray for the community of Erin and Erin Village Alliance Church?”
