New Venture Development
New Ventures are emerging communities of faith who are listening and responding to what Jesus has called them to be and to become.
We firmly believe that there is no “one size fits all” when it comes to being the church. Every New Venture looks different, and we commit to walking alongside each community to help them listen and respond to how God is leading them.
Brought to you by New Ventures Canada, New Waters is a collective learning space that exists to initiate lively conversations and share collective learnings. Our goal is to equip and inspire followers of Jesus to navigate the new waters we find ourselves in as the church in Canada. Our hope is to help you to love the church and learn to think differently with curiosity, hope, and wonder.
Follow along on Facebook, Instagram, or Twitter as we launch this new project!
We desire to cultivate and engage a new generation of leaders as well as strengthen and equip existing leaders for God’s unique calling. We do this through the following streams:
Licensing is the process whereby an applicant is approved by the District for placement in ministry with the Christian & Missionary Alliance in Canada. Applicants being considered for a ministry role in a paid full-time or part time capacity are required to go through the licensing process PRIOR to the Applicant candidating in the church and being hired.
Pursuing ordination is a journey with a destination of recognition & celebration as a pastor in the Christian & Missionary Alliance in Canada.
Our hope and prayer is that your experience will be a significant contributor to your growth and maturing as a follower of Jesus Christ and as a leader in the Church.
PATHWAYS SCHOOL OF MINISTRY
Do you have a passion for Jesus and want to encourage others? Have you considered a career in ministry, but you don’t know where to start?
Pathways School of Ministry is designed to develop Christ-centered, Spirit-empowered, Mission-focused leaders who learn at their own pace, with schedules that accommodate full time jobs, families or other responsibilities.
Through ongoing research, the CCD team recognized a real need for Church Development resources, especially in the area of Elders Board training and Church Health. With this in mind, we have been refreshing and rebuilding our goods and services to provide our churches with more effective tools that can be used for years to come as a foundation for Church Health and Development.
The mission of God is to develop people, in all nations, to reflect His glory.
The Global Missions Team joins in this mission by making disciples of Jesus Christ across cultural boundaries, both here in our District, and around the world. It is an essential part of discipleship to be engaged in what Jesus is doing right now.
When we participate with Him in His mission, we ourselves are made more like Him, so such participation not only benefits those around us, but us too! Since even before it’s formal organization, the Christian and Missionary Alliance of Canada has been sending and supporting international workers who take the transformative Gospel of Christ to the far corners of the globe!
Currently, the C&MA in Canada has over 220 workers, 40% of which are in creative access countries. Now, we'd like you to meet some of those people below.
